This cult Serbian comedy is set in the wake of WW2. Group of petty thieves and pickpockets is trying to disguise themselves, by performing as music orchestra "Balkan Express". Their only worry is to save their heads from horrors of war, and to "earn" some cash in the meantime. But only one german officer is rather suspicious about them.
This movie breaks the myth of war heroes. They don't care much about others, their only aim is to survive... "Oh, you're resting? While Europe is in flames, you're lounging in the shade. How about helping those who are fighting the war for you?"
