Synopsis :

Following where the previous film left off, Alice (Milla Jovovich) and the others on the Umbrella Corporation freighter Arcadia face an attack by a fleet of airships led by Alice's former ally Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), who has been brainwashed by Umbrella through a red scarab device attached to her chest. When Alice causes an airship to crash into the ship, she is knocked unconscious into the water.
Switching over into what seems to be an alternate reality, Alice finds herself living as a suburban housewife with her husband Todd (Oded Fehr) — a clone of Carlos Olivera — and deaf daughter Becky (Aryana Engineer). However, this idyllic life is disrupted when zombies attack and kill Todd. Alice and Becky escape to the streets and are rescued by Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez), who lets them ride in her car. As the three escape, they are hit by a truck, knocking Rain unconscious while Alice and Becky escape. Alice runs and is attacked by a zombified Todd.

Synopsis :

Eight years after the events of The Dark Knight, Gotham City is in a state of peace. Under powers granted by the Dent Act, Commissioner James Gordon has nearly eradicated violent and organized crime. Gordon feels guilty about the cover-up of Harvey Dent's crimes, but decides that the city is not ready to hear the truth. While following a lead in the abduction of a congressional representative, Gordon's confessional speech falls into the hands of terrorist leader Bane. Gordon is shot in the process of escaping and promotes patrol officer John Blake to detective, allowing Blake to report directly to him in the hospital.
As Batman has disappeared from Gotham, so too has Bruce Wayne, locking himself inside Wayne Manor. Wayne Enterprises is crumbling after he invested in a clean energy project proposed by board member Miranda Tate, but shut it down after learning that the fusion core at its heart could be modified to become a nuclear weapon. Both Blake—who has deduced Batman's identity—and Gordon implore Bruce to return as Batman, but Alfred Pennyworth resigns in protest out of concern for Bruce's failing health.

Barney Ross is approached by CIA man Church, who wants him and his guns for hire to go to the former Soviet Union to retrieve something that was on a plane that crashed. Church doesn't tell him what he is getting. And Church sends a woman, Maggie with him to make sure he gets it. They find the plane and get the thing but some men take one of Barney's people hostage and the leader tells him to give him what they got or he'll kill his hostage. The give it to him but he kills his hostage anyway. Barney asks Maggie what was so important about that thing. She says that it showed the location of a Russian plutonium storage mine. Barney decides to track the man down and deal with him. They track them down and discover that the man they seek is Vilain who leads a group known as The Sangs and that they have taken all the men from the surrounding villages to work the mine.

The Expendables are deployed to Nepal to rescue a Chinese businessman. The mercenaries rescue the businessman and the captured mercenary Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger), Ross' rival. Yang escorts the businessman in his return to China, and departs from the group. After returning to the US, Billy tells Ross that he wants to finish the month out with the team and then retire to France to be with his girlfriend Sophia, and Ross accepts his decision. Later, Ross is forced to accept a mission from CIA Agent Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) to retrieve an item from a safe in an airplane that was shot down in Albania. Church sends technical expert Maggie (Yu Nan) with the team to crack the safe. In Albania, the team successfully retrieves the item, but are then ambushed by Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his mercenary group the Sangs, who have captured Billy. Vilain demands the Expendables weapons and the item in exchange for Billy's life. The team surrenders the item, but Vilain roundhouse kicks a knife through Billy's heart and flees with the Sangs by helicopter. Ross recovers a note for Sophia from Billy's body and the team buries their fallen comrade, swearing revenge on Vilain.
