He calls Grace to pick them up.

Description:
Kanokon's story revolves around Kouta Oyamada, a young first-year high school student who moves from the country to the city and thus transfers to Kunpo High School. Description: In the past, police have discovered that a gun that was used in several murder cases had a "curse" to it, and whoever wields the said weapon is unable to hold back any wild or dangerous intentions, which usually end up with someone getting hurt. With this as the root of the story, there comes Yuu Asakura, a student at a university. One fateful day, he rushes at a train station, when he accidentally bumps into a man with a briefcase. Unintentionally, Yuu and the man swapped their briefcases (which appear fairly similar in color and design) as he runs for the train. Just as the doors behind him close, the man he bumped into earlier stood beyond the door and raised the briefcase that was supposedly his to show it to him. However it was already too late and the train has already started moving.
Soon thereafter, Yuu returns home, where in a short period of time, he discovers a gun, some money and a mysterious videotape all encased inside the briefcase that belonged to the man. Recorded inside the tape was an assassination order and some background information on the target. Yuu was also informed of a backup partner with the codename "Angel" and where she could be found. Without further thinking, Yuu unofficially takes on the job with the gun as his only weapon of choice.
Along the story, Yuu's innocence is shattered as he travels into the world of murder, sex and violence. Although the show includes a few bloody scenes, many of said crimes tend to end up with sexual abuses or activities.

Born a Besançon in 1939 Jean-François Laguionie studied graphics and worked in theatre as actor. At Annecy he discovered animation through meeting Paul Grimault, the legendary French animator, who loaned the young Laguionie his animation equipment and with whom he developed a technique of animation with pieces of paper. His first film "La demoiselle et le violoncelliste" won the Grand Prix at the Festival of Annecy on 1965. Fifteen years later he was awarded the Palm d'Or at Cannes for "La traversée de l'Atlantique à la rame". He has produced some of the most exquisitely rendered animation in all of Europe: Laguionie’s animation examines familiar myths and uses fairy tale narratives to explore the differences between reality and illusion. Critically acclaimed and award winning, his work has been described as a kinetic combination of “naïf painting and René Magritte.”

"Blood Tea and Red String" was apparently thirteen years in the making and it was certainly worth it. It manages to convincingly create its own world without too much explanation. The lack of explanation or often reason to the images just adds a dreamlike layer. This is definitely a film working on its own inner logic and its successful for the most part. Some have compared this to the work of Jan Svankmajer. While I feel thats an apt reference and noticed some influence when watching this film, I feel "Blood Tea and Red String" is actually better than most of Svankmajer's work. It just feels more consistent than Svankmajer's feature films and has more of a flow to it. Christiane Cegavske certainly shows great skill as an animator, one who pays much attention to detail. I really wish I had seen this as a child, as I feel it would've profoundly impacted me back than (as opposed to just impressing me greatly now). One things for sure, it makes me wish I was doing something better with my spare time.

Synopsis: The ChubbChubbs are returning to the silver screen, and this time they’re saving Christmas. In the sequel to the Oscar-winning CGI short The ChubbChubbs!, the titular characters are looking for a place to call home. The film follows Nishi, a loser who has a crush on his childhood girlfriend. After an encounter with the Japanese mafia, the film follows Nishi as he journeys to heaven and back, and ends up trapped in an even more unlikely place. Nishi (and some friends) attempt to break out of their trap, and discover what it truly means to be alive along the way. This is a mind-bending trip that uses some of the most innovative animation ever created. Winner of the Noburo Ofuji award (the most prestigious award in Japan for an animated film), this film has unfortunately only had a very limited release in Japan (although it is playing in theaters again since winning the award). The director, Masaaki Yuasa, has previously done critically acclaimed animation work on other series, and helped create the equally mind-blowing, and somewhat disturbing short animated movie "Cat Soup".

The first thing about the movie to note is the animation. The animators worked in a collaborative effort, and included a wide range of experimental and traditional animation techniques, a bit of CGI, and even a bit of live action. Viewed as individual pieces, it can be jarring, but seen together as a whole, each piece seems to fit with each other perfectly, with the different animation forms setting the mood perfectly. The story begins in present-day Tokyo, and follows a loser who is letting his childhood girlfriend slip away. Things take a twist to the fantastical side, as the characters embark on a surreal journey that changes everything about them. The actual elements of the plot are not really the focus of the movie. It is about setting the mood, creating the atmosphere of the characters' emotions, and drawing the viewer in to same mental journey the characters are going on, without even realizing it. The pace of the movie picks up and slows in parts, before building up to its thunderous and (literally) exhausting climax. See this movie , if only for the virtuoso animation that you will not see in any other film. And who knows? it just might change your whole outlook on life.
